Caving campout

Overview Friday, May 4th- Sunday May 6th

The scouts met at the church and packed up the trailer full of all the supplies that they would be needing for that campout. Then the scouts all got into their cars and everyone headed to Longhorn Cavern State Park. Their the scouts set up camp and tents and everyone had cracker barrel before going to bed in their warm sleeping bags. Everyone groggily aroused from their sleeping bags and started to make breakfast. Then in groups the troop descended into the caves. The scouts go to look around for a long time before having to head up to lunch. Then the scouts got to go back into the cave and see a little bit more before it got dark. Then the scouts headed back up to make dinner, and everyone had a good campfire before going to bed. In the morning all the scouts packed up. Ate a hurried breakfast and headed home. Thank you to all the adults who made this campout possible!
